Best Footwear for a Broken Toe?

Hi,

I broke my little toe on Monday afternoon and it's been unbearable to walk on. I know it'll take a good few weeks to feel comfortable but what is best to wear on my feet in the meantime?

I have a day out planned with the kids tomorrow and am back in work on Friday.

It's amazing how something so small can cause so much debilitation!

The first time I broke a toe I found my stiff walking boots worked the best, but the next time (yes I've broken a few toes!) I bound the two outer toes together( with padding) and could wear a softer rather generously sized sports shoe. ( I don't have crocs'). I had to swop the insole to a thinner one to give a bit of extra space. I hope your toe heals quickly.
