Any pregnant girls out there taking pain medication?

So I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and I am currently taking cocodamol 30/500 to try and manage a chronic pain condition I have had for 21 years. Today I have been up for hours in agony and after taking two painkillers the pain has reduced by about 15%. My pain clinic doctor has suggested if pain starts to become unbearable then morphine would be the next 'best' thing. My obstetrician said take tramadol if I need to. I know about the baby becoming addicted to painkillers when he's born; I just wondered if anyone else has taken strong painkillers during their pregnancy and the effect it had on their baby. I'm at my wits end as the pain really effects my breathing and I end up bed bound having to be carried to the bathroom :(
