Hello,
I wonder if anyone can shed any light on my symptoms or have the same.

I have chest pain but sporadic and usually only evenings or overnight. When it comes it is very uncomfortable and sometimes wakes me up but I can walk around and chat- just don't feel right. Have had ECGs but nothing found.
Nausea
Low mood
Yawning a lot
Stomach ache

I am currently seeing gp and having lots of tests but nothing found so far.....

Not had vit D tested. Will ask gp. He did say I was slightly anaemic though.

Will look at reflux

Anxiety? Even when you feel relaxed at night, anxiety is a bastard and can can present its shitty symptoms to you,you don't need to be thinking anxious thoughts to get anxiety symptoms. You could even be anxious about the symptoms themselves, so you get more symptoms. It's good that your tests are coming back clear, that should be done comfort Flowers

Is there any pattern in terms of what you eat before the pain comes on?
Where is the pain specifically, and does it move around?
Are there any positions which ease the pain?
Does Rennie or gaviscon make any difference?
Any loss of appetite?
Any difficulty peeing?
Are you female, over 40 and overweight?

I'm thinking reflux too. I have GERD myself and it sounds similar.

Stomach ulcer?

I thought I had a stomach ulcer too Titania - turned out to be gallstones. Hence all my questions to OP above! My pain is mostly between sternum and navel, radiating out under ribs on both sides. Gallbladder op in 6 weeks.

Thank you for all your responses.
There does not seem to be any pattern with what I have eaten or done, exercise etc.
Have no appetite at all today, but ate well yesterday. No weight loss and no problem peeing.

I am 49, female and about a stone overweight.

Pain last night and most of today seems to be in chest area, and top of stomach, just below my ribs. That middle bit feels tender.

I did wonder about anxiety as gp thinks it could be but I can't believe emotions can feel this physical.

Gallstones definitely a possibility then Kahlua. Easily diagnosed with a quick ultrasound.

In the meantime, try paracetamol for the pain, see if it helps take the edge off!

I have anxiety related chest pains. Regularly. However I’m always aware that I’m anxious when I’m having them...

Well I am just back from a&e. I went in as really uncomfortable and I couldn't shift the pain.

Doctor thinks it is a stomach ulcer and reflux. I asked about gall stones but she doesn't think so as bloods results were ok and also because pain is more in the middle, just below my sternum.

Plan is to take meds for ulcer and speak with gp about follow up. I do have to go back if pain gets bad again.

As for palpitations, all ecg results have been fine as are blood tests so jury is still out. However she has asked me to go on a research study for them whereby they provide me with a machine that connects to my phone.
When I get palpitations I simply press both my thumbs on it and the results are sent to research centre. They will then ring me if I need to get treatment.

So all sounds good so far, at least I have more of a plan and it doesn't seem life threatening. It could be a few things happening at once!

Anxiety could play a big part so I need to keep an eye on that too.

Thank you for all your advice and help.

Palpitations can be common with reflux. I'm on groups to do with GERD as I have a hiatus hernia that causes mine. Seems to come up as a regular symptom; something to do with stimulating the vagus nerves as far as I remember. I know I've certainly had palpitations a lot throughout my life and it's only been since learning that I've put two and two together and noticed I get them the majority of the time when my reflux is bad. Fingers crossed that's all it will be and I hope your meds work quickly, an ulcer is the pits Flowers

I’ve just been through similar too. Suspected gallstones but ultrasound scan showed none. Was put on treatment of high dose of lanzoprazole and gaviscon after meals. After a few days the pain went away. I totally understand though as I was in so much pain a&e gave me morphine and it still didn’t take it away. Was in my sternum and round my back under right shoulder blade.

Fx it clears up soon for you x

I'm glad to hear that you are now getting somewhere with your pain and getting some treatmen, fingers crossed for you Flowers.

Anxiety can cause all sorts of physical symptoms (chest pain, headaches, breathing problems, oesophagus spasms .... I've had so many, but I do take lanzaprozole and occasionally propandol (sp?) for when my heart feels like a bag of scrabbly worms on speed.

Take care and I hope feel better soon xx
