Agnus Castus VS Prozac..... i'm losing it, pms help

bought angus castus with vitb6
GP gave me prescription for prozac but i haven't had it dispensed.

Please, how long before agnus castus shows effects?

Have used prozac before, worked on pms but killed sex life....completely

Feeling desperate and dh is off work for easter, God help him!

Poor you - one of the joys I've discovered of being pg is no more pms!
Used to get suicidal sometimes..

Agnus castus is great BUT it takes about 2-3 cycles to work and - sorry to say this - killed my libido stone dead. Also anything oyu've bought over the counter will most likely be rubbish quality so won't work that well. You need to get it off a qualified herbalist who'll get you quality controlled practioner only stuff - and IF it affects your sex drive can also give somehting to help with that.

I'm also on prozac but it doesn't really touch my pms...

hang on in there - it's te worst thing to have.

Actually talcyegg I don't think it is nothing compared to other problems - think you're being very hard on yourself.

it's hellish - there's nothing much you can do and you feel so bad and knowing its "only" hormones doesn't make any difference. I was just rejoicing yesterday about how wonderful it is not having it for 9 months - i'm like a different person - relaxed, content, not bothered about stuff and have energy. I suffer from depression and I actually think it's moreorless caused by pms - if you spend 10 days out of every 25 feeling like it then it seeps into the rest of the month.


agnus castus does work but it's a balance thing - I used to do 4 months on and 4 months off - so we could have sex for 4 months and then when my moods got too bad would go back on ac.

think you proabbly did the right thing staying at home even though you feel miserable for doing it.

Have pms 2 weeks out of 4 for last 6 years, def getting worse though.

Chocolate seems to be a short term miracle cure.
Told dh lastnight that i couldn't go on like this anymore.......?

I find that quiet and sleep work best. My husband has found out that depriving me of these things is a detriment to his happiness
