I think I might have post partum diabetes. Anyone out there know about it?

As the title suggest, I've been having fairly weird symptoms and was hoping if anyone out there had experienced PP diabetes if they could tell me whether this was likely to be it (just so I don't look this this: at the doctors).

First of all, funny headaches with disturbed vision, thought it was migraines but not that bad, just sort of fuzzy.

Dizziness and fairly aggressive if I don't eat every two hours and I'm eating and drinking so much I should be putting on lots of weight but I'm not (I am bfing though and put it down to that to start with). But I've lost a stone in a month despite eating around 3000 calories a day!

Absolutely knackered (but which new mum isn't?)

DH wants me to go to the doctors, as I have a previous history of low blood sugar (never high) and had sugar in my urine all through pregnancy (but at a low level). I also have PCOS and understand this can be an issue.

DD is five and a half months btw, born by cs after pre-eclampsia and we later discovered the placenta had degraded and she hadn't grown much for the last month (she was just short of 8lbs) so I think she was meant to be a bit bigger than she came out (she's CERTAINLY made for that now - on 98th percentile).

Any ideas anyone?

not really, but definitely go to docs

could be diabetes, blood pressure issue, thyroid issue..certainly warrants a few tests !

Oh don't say that, I've only just got my blood pressure down after the PE and my thyroid is generally buggered thanks to crappy genes!

But thanks for answering . How's your ghost doing? That was you right?
