dermatofibroma - how can I conceal one?

I feel a bit Blush asking about this on here, when there are so many more important and scary subjects floating about...but I am a little stuck.
I have a couple of rather ugly dermatofibroma spots on my lower legs (these are non cancerous, weird little moles/growths about the size of a small lentil, often puckering the skin around and sometimes raised - mine are - and usually pigmented darker than your own skin tone).
A dermatologist told me ages ago that I could have theme excised, but that the scar they leave behind can be as ugly, if not worse than, the actual dermatofibroma, so I never bothered.
I'm mediterranean in skin type, so my two go extra dark when I'm in the sun. At the moment (pale-ish legs) they are several shades darker and look really unattractive.
Had them for years but it has knocked my confidence especially now that my legs are not the muscly, slimmer version I had in my 20s!
I'd love to wear shorts and dresses without feeling self conscious, but don't massively want to slather my legs in Sally Hansen makeup for legs, for just a couple of small patches.
Is there any other cover up that might work and that will stay put all day?
I don't wear foundation on my face, so am clueless about all matters foundation.

I don't know the answer, but I have them too and I know how you feel. Hopefully someone with good advice will come along soon.
