Is kefir any good?

Has anyone been taking this and feels better in any way as a result?

Or is it just another fad?

It's just another refreshing drink made from milk, much like ayran.
We used to drink this (and buttermilk) in the 70ties.
It's not unhealthy.

Don't tell me somebody is making an (expensive) 'thing' out of it?

I've been drinking it for the last couple of weeks - the Bio-tiful Dairy one from Ocado

It tastes lovely, like less-sour natural yoghurt

I can't say I've noticed any overnight changes but certainly no downsides. I think the general benefit to gut health makes it worth sticking with for a while
