What's this pain?

I've a pain under my left Boob, was really sharp yesterday but passed after 10mins so put it down to stress (recently moved house).
Today it really aches and throbs, comes and goes but now it's bad enough for me to take painkillers.
What could it be? Anxiety?

could be costochondritis (inflammation of rib i think) or a trapped nerve.

maybe try with a hot water bottle on the area?

Under, as in behind your ribcage, or underside of the boob?

Sounds like where I feel my oftentimes excruciating heartburn and mine is usually triggered by stress or diet. Can you get hold of over the counter ranitidine 150mg and see if it helps? It's not the best, but it's the best I can get without prescription over here (Canada), so may well be the strongest you can find on an Easter Sunday. They're meant to be one a day but I have taken 2 in the same day when it's been very bad and I survived.

Probably worth getting any chest pain checked out by a dr though, not just assume that it's the same cause as my problem.

I was prescribed Ranitidine at 300mg, so took 4 of the regular tablets when my prescription ran out.

If that doesn't ease it, give NHS direct a ring (or whatever it is now) and see what they say, there are other things that need ruling out I imagine.
