Retesting for Glandular fever. Why?

Hope someone can help.

I had tonsillitis (bad one sided) and pharyngitis about two weeks ago. For the last month I have been feeling physically and mentally exhausted.

I had to stay overnight in hospital due to swelling etc. I was tested for glandular fever, haven't received a phone call but had a letter from the doctor today asking me to redo the test.

Our surgery are awful ATM, nearly all of the doctors have left and they can't get cover etc...maybe that's why they didn't phone?

Why would they ask me to retest? Does it mean I might have it?
