I developed a rash 3 weeks ago that the dr diagnosed as pityriasis rosacea. Has anyone else had this and if so how long did it last and did you get the itchy skin too? It says on the web that the rash can last for up to 12 weeks. It looks gross and is darned itchy too. Any advice?

Yes! It was ok when it was covered by clothes but it's now on my neck and just looks really unattractive. Did it take ages to fade or was it a gradual thing?

It stayed for ages without fading and then disappeared completely in about 3 days, I was so relieved! But at least it's completely harmless, which is good.

Thanks bluejelly. I've been so itchy with it today. Anyone got any tips for dealing with the itchy rash? I'm washing with e45 bodywash and then loading on the moistursing cream that the dr prescribed but it's still so so dry and itchy.

I'm in my 40's and had it on my legs and trunk.
The doc didn't seem bothered and cheered me up by saying it was tipically a young adults condition.
So at least my body THINKS its 20.

have you tried Aloe Vera Gel (Holland & Barratt) to sooth the itching. Pretting good stuff
