dh had never had a filling in his life until 2 years ago (when he was 33) He's now on his third and getting really hacked off with it. Two of them have been on wisdom teeth. He hasn't done anything differently. Is it just bad luck or is it likely to continue. The dentist doesn't seem to be giving him much info as to why so I wondered if the combined wisdom of mnetters could help.

Did he suck his thumb? Just a theory I have. I had my first filling last year I am 36. I put it down to me sucking my thumb because......you know how it chewing gum is recommneded after meals to increase ther production of saliva which neutralises the mouth well I think sucking your thumb has the same effect> If your husband doesn't suck his thumb then please completely disregard this post
