persistent headache or migraine

Last week I had a headache which lasted Saturday to Wednesday and with it I had some visual disturbances. I saw my GP who suggested it was most likely a migraine but took bloods anyway due to my history (bleed on pituitary gland leading ti seizures and intensive care stay). Bloods were pretty much normal with a slightly lower than normal cortisol level which is something I had issues with when I had the bleed. Repeated bloods this week and awaiting the results.

I've had a headache again since yesterday. Not sure what I should do about it? Phone 111? Seems an over reaction but I struggle to think clearly over headaches since my bleed.

I've taken some ibuprofen and will wait and see if that helps out at all as last week it just took the edge off didn't get rid of it but I'm not able to take migraine tablets.

Just bumping as I still have the headache. But its now coupled with some vomiting and diarrhoea and I feel light headed when I stand up but I'm fine after a few seconds.

Trying to hold off calling GP what do we reckon, phone now or try and hold off?

Oh i am sorry. I lived with this every single day for almost 2 years. Eventually been told I have " chronic daily migraine". Try to avoid triggers such as bright rooms, tv/screen time. Ask for some stronger pain relief too, i have had so much now not many things work! Sending hugs to you - its debilitating. Don't put it off like i did - especially with your history. Get a gp appt as soon as.

Have you considered a daith piercing?

I got one last week after an 8-day long headache following a migraine with visual disturbances, etc. I woke up the following day and the headache was gone, hasn't been back since.

There's no scientific evidence that it works but plenty of circumstantial evidence online. Perhaps look into it?

Will give my GP a call in a minute, after the school run. Hopefully will get an appointment this afternoon, although it will mean driving to the surgery which isn't ideal but never mind!
