Bronchiolitis - how long does the cough go on for????

DD2 had brochiolitis at the beginning of December. We were only in hospital for 2 days, with the feeding tube down her nose. I was told that it can take weeks for the cough to go away, but it hasn't gone yet. She doesn't seem too stressed by it, although sometimes she can throw up her bottle straight after, if she has one of her coughing fits. I took her to the GP about 4 weeks ago and he said not to worry.

Anyone had the same experience where baby is still coughing almost 3 months on???

My dd didnt have the brochilitis but she had a bad cough the same time and she is still coughing.

Horrible isnt it.

bronchilitis completely weakens the immune system so cough can go on for months. My DD1 was in for a week with bronchilitis last march, unfortunately looks like hers has developed into long term breathing probs[asthma]

Awww Nemo

Tbh I was wondering about that with ds as he is very chesty and loose IYKWIM.
I'm asthmatic and my mum has commented that he has been just like how I was when I suffered with it as a baby.

Its just so hard to diagnose so young isnt it.

your poor dd nally,is it's similar to bronchitis in adults?

I've had that for weeks now and it's exhausting.
