Hey,
So I need some advice on herpes and pregnancy. I'm 99% sure I have herpes I have never been fully diagnosed. I had cold symptoms last week then my leg was sensitive to touch and sore. I then had a rash form on the outside Labia ( if that's even a thing ).
I believe I had my first outbreak this time last year, it went away and I thought nothing of it. I was pregnant in September and had another outbreak, I believe this was my third, i had a miscarriage when I was 11 weeks, was awful and I started questioning everything then I thought maybe it was the outbreak? I am not thankfully pregnant again, 5 weeks and I have had An outbreak ... I'm thinking maybe change in hormones causes outbreaks when I'm pregnant.
I am so worried this will cause it.
I also had sex with my partner and then jumped straight off him and performed oral sex, my outbreak is so small I comepltely
Forgot to even check if I had the rash yet.. well I do but it's high up so don't think it has touched him. ( p.s I contracted herpes from him! So he has it!
Anyway.. now I am really panicking that I will have herpes outbreak on my
Mouth, is this classed as a first outbreak because I have read that these are most dangerous when in first 3 months? Or because I already have the hsv 2 virus on my system does it not
Matter where it happens? Also can hsv2 spread to the mouth and become hsv1? I am so scared I am going to have a miscarriage again!
Please no negative comments about the fact I have herpes I am so embarrassed about this.
I am going to try book in with my local GUM clinic tomorrow to get the official diagnosis.
I am so down about this, I have been going to bed at 8pm every night because I just want to sleep and not constantly sit thinking about it.
Thank you for reading xxxxxx

Should I take medication for this outbreak or just leave it? I've heard mixed reviews on medication? Is it harmful to not take anything or is it ok to let
My body heal itself?

I think you do need to get guidance from a medic on what to do re--treatment. Have you got an appt for GUM? It might be being pregnant is affecting your immune system, but then lots of pg women don't get flares. Maybe write a note of all your queries before the clinic. But it's a very common condition. Try not be embarrassed.
