Does this sound like norovirus? TMI WARNING!

There is a TMI warning in the title but also posting one here! (You have been warned!!)

Felt sick Sunday evening and was sick one about 1am. All day yesterday I felt rough - headache, temp etc and only managed 2 pieces of toast all day. About 10.30pm last night I started to get an upset stomach and was going every 15 mins or so and then every half hour/hour. I have been 23 times since 10.30pm last night! Shock

Feel okay in myself today but bottom is now sore and bleeding where I have wiped it so many times so trying to put Sudocrem on each time I go.

How do I get rid of this bug? OH has gone to get me dioralyte and some bananas.

Anyone else had this like this? All tips welcome!!!

When we had noro it was a bit more instant: a few hours of feeling increasingly queasy and then an explosion from both ends. Projectile and horrendous. Accompanied by shivers, aches and more awfulness. I lay on the bathroom floor crying. Lasted 12hr of intensive nastiness then still unwell for a few days.

Took about a week to feel normal.

I don't know if you have noro or not, but hope you feel better

Possibly more a stomach bug than noro then.

When I had the misfortune of getting the 24 hour bug (not sure if it was Noro though) I woke up at 5am feeling really sick then eventually started throwing up at 7am. Thankfully I felt much better within 24 hours.

Hope you get better soon! I've been paranoid about catching another stomach bug ever since.

Drink plenty of water and try to use Vaseline if the sudocrem stings and pat rather than wipe. Other than that just be really obsessive with hygeine. When I had it last it took a week before I could eat without feeling sick.

Hope you feel better soon

We had norovirus recently and it came on suddenly, literally went from feeling fine when I went to bed, to waking up in the middle of the night and having to run to be sick. Actual sickness lasted about a day then felt rough and drained for a good 2 or 3 days after.

Get some germoloids or similar as it contains local anaesthetic.

When you all feel better, wash everything - sheets, towels, clothes, surfaces - really thoroughly and use lots of bleach!

I have just had a nasty tummy bug. Took nearly three weeks to get back to normal. Assumed noro now think it may have been that shigellosis that is doing the rounds. It was rough. Iller than I have been for years.

Was feeling normal for precisely three days, and have now got stinking cough/cold. DH is sniggering at the suggestion that I have pleurisy, but considering my recent luck....

How you feeling today?

I literally wouldn't have anything but water if it's that bad until it dries up but that may not be the right thing... I couldn't stomach anything anyway and just sipped water to prevent dehydration.

Had a 6 hour break from the upset stomach but then just went again and it's still like it was before. I am eating 3 meals a day (toast and bananas), drinking lots of fluids and even having actimel. Anyone got any other tips to help get rid of it quickly?

This Shigella one is sounding more likely than noro after seeing the news this week.
