just been to doctor with DH and Doctor brought up Dh's hospital letter which states that they believe he has a low grade Glioma type tumour, which is the best news asthese are non cancerous and slow growing.
it does rather beg the question why they did not tell us this at the hospital. they just sent him home saying it was a brain tumour but to risky to do a biopsy, come back for a rescan in three months time.
is it too early for wine?

Absolutely not-will go and pour you a glass

Never too early for wine, when you've had good news like that.

Marina Wed 28-Feb-07 12:28:56

Never too early for wine in these circumstances. I am so sorry you were given such a misleadingly upsetting initial prognosis onlyjoking. Cheers

onlyjoking9329 Wed 28-Feb-07 12:38:49

yes we should be in lanzarote right now, we only went to see the doctor today to help sort out the holiday insurance, i am glad we did

foxinsocks Wed 28-Feb-07 12:39:46

thank goodness you went!

great news

onlyjoking9329 Wed 28-Feb-07 12:48:00

yes at the moment i am just happy we went but once i have stopped smiling i may get angry that the hospital did not tell us.

foxinsocks Wed 28-Feb-07 12:51:11

yes, I can imagine you'd be angry

I think, if you can be bothered, it might be an idea to write a letter of complaint (think you can do it via the PALS service at the hospital - maybe you can do it over the phone, I don't know) just pointing out that you were never given that very important information.

MrsSpoon Wed 28-Feb-07 12:53:19

Not too early for wine after good news like that.

doots Wed 28-Feb-07 12:54:30

Glad for the good news, at hospital. Sometimes you do wonder...a friend of mine was in hospital a few weeks ago. The wife of the man in the next bed was told in front of the entire ward (not even curtain round the bed)that they weren't going to pursue any further treatment as he was only going to last a few more days

onlyjoking9329 Wed 28-Feb-07 12:54:44

i may complain at some point, but am busy being happy at the moment.
some thing don't change DH still has a brain tumour and will need treatment of some sort but it would have been so nice to know that we it wasn't cancerous
