Deep pain in leg/hip. Unsure really. Hurts when weight bearing. Fine in morning and gets gradually worse as the day goes on. This swollen lumpy bit came up yesterday afternoon. Was gone this morning. Now back. Scuse the dodgy thigh/granny pants. What on earth would be swollen at that part of my leg? Doesn't hurt to poke it. Just the weight bearing pain as described above. No gp appt available for 2wks and its not an emergency apparently (even tho I can barely walk by end of day)

I would get an emergency appointment for that.

Well I ended up at walk in centre, they sent me over to a&e. I've torn ligaments in my leg. Cannot recall doing anything that could've caused that but hey ho, at least I know what (they think) it is. Rest as much as poss and get gp to investigate if it's not easing by end of next week. Easier said than done, just called gp to book an appt just in case I need it, and next appt is now 27th!

oh nuts, ligament injuries are bastards for getting better only very slowly. Is there any treatment?

oh god you poor thing Shock
I was thinking it looks like the place where you could knock your thigh on a table corner (I'm always doing it) and perhaps you had some nasty deep tissue injury from that.
Hope it heals up very soon Flowers

No treatment! Just told not to walk around too much which is vrry difficult with 3 aged 9 and under at home and 500 aged 11 and under at work! Got out of accompanying my 6yo to a forest school party in the rain and wind today though so there's always a positive!
