Mooncup Q - why is it disappearing up my vaginally?

Thought I'd give it a go given the hundreds of recommendations on here.

Have tried a few times with it, managed to fit it low down and give it a twist, but when I check it an hour or so later it's disappeared half way up my vagina and I'm almost up there with both hands trying to wrestle it out. Not the most practical solution in a public bathroom :o

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Or do I have an extra long vagina? :o

Just chuckling at the idea of vagina alley. Is the between cock crescent and vulva avenue?

Yes, just turn left at Pudenda Pass.

Sorry. Derailed your thread. I have no experience with moon cups.
Bumping do that someone more helpful, and less childish, might see.

As far as I'm aware they can creep up. I use a ruby cup which is pretty much the same but suits me much better than a Mooncup. When I used a Mooncup it did creep up a lot, my ruby cup does too but not as much. I think that as long as it doesn't let blood out then it's ok. I've always thought of it as it's finding it's optimal comfort/protection place for my body. I guess I may have a different view if I had to change it in public loos. From what I know the Mooncup is the only one who recommends changing it every 4-8 hrs, others say 8 hrs some say 12. I've heard the diva cup is longer, you could try that. Smile

They do work they way up if you're lucky enough not to have a uterus pushing it back out.

If you're really stuck a squat is the best position as it shortens your vagina most - if this is impractical then sit on the toilet and gently bear down.

Tmi, but I find at the beginning of my cycle my mooncup sits higher than it does at the end. I think a lot of that is down to how high my cervix is at that point. Tbh, I prefer it to sit higher than lower, I can feel it when it sits lower.

Rummaging around to hoick it out improves with practice. Had mine now since before dd2 was born nearly 9 years ago and I wouldn't go back.

Is it going up straight or diagonally Grin

I have to site mine as high as possible so it won't leak. It doesn't work, and is uncomfortable low down.

To remove i just use thumb and forefinger to pinch the base and release suction, then pull out.

It takes experimentation!

That's not really a problem. To get it out, sit on the loo and bear down like you're giving birth to it Grin

I shall persist with it.

At the moment the only way I can get it out is by squatting. Tried pinching the bottom and no release of suction so had to pull at the same time as using a finger to release the suction. Am worried it's going to get sectioned to my cervix.

Thankfully I haven't trimmed the end yet :o
