Does anyone have any tips on how to shift reoccurring thrush? I'm preggo at the moment too so can't really take the oral treatment (can I use a pessary..?) it's getting on my wick now and nothing seems to be working.

Live natural yoghurt inside as far up as you can get it

Stop eating sugar

Stop eating wheat

And keep your bottom half open to the breeze - no pants no trousers as much as poss.

Get you OH to take a canesten tablet. I had awful thrush last year. I'd fet rid of and then it would come back. I was in pain and the skin was cracked and bleeding, drs started testing for skin infections and suggested it might just be eczema. Tgen I read on the nhs website that men could have thrush but have no symptoms! Everytime I was cleared up we'd have sex abd he'd reinfect me again. Both took a ablet, never returned.

Go to yoou doctors. Don't think pessaries are safe but you can have cream and they can prescribe oral tablets if that doesn't work

I'm preggo too with thrush.

Go to the doctors and you'll get a prescription for pessaries. You'll need more than one and it all adds up (££) so get the prescription. They should also include some cream which you're allowed to use too.

Don't use the applicator! It can push it too far up.

Get your OH to take a tablet but do not take one yourself.

Agree that having as much breeze around there helps. I now sleep pantless and it helps.

The doctor will want you to go back if it doesn't go away after the first lot.

I had horrendous thrush when I was pregnant with ds, the midwife told me I could use the cream which really seemed to sooth it, I was eating natural yoghurt by the gallon load Grin cant stand the stuff now!
Just a side note I went to the pharmacy to try buy some canestan over the counter and they refused to serve me as I was so heavily pregnant Hmm so I had to get it on prescription

Yeah I also got refused by Boots.

It's because it might be something else too - like an infection so best to get it checked out.

Thank you for responses! I'll get DP a tablet pronto! I've got an appointment on Tuesday anyway so I'll mention it.
