Hi,
Do I have to go through a GP to get a hearing test? I am stone deaf (told it was nerve damage) since birth in my left ear. I went to the hospital/local clinic as a child and was monitored throughout my school years but I haven't been checked since - I am now 44.
I have coped with it ok throughout my life but I noticing that I am struggling a little bit and think I should go for a check. I don't know how they knew it was nerve deafness back then - I have always had a secret desire that they would make it work again :-(
Would I be offered a hearing aid if my other ear is normal?
