Any ideas what this could be? Pain in the ball of my foot.

It came on at work on Friday and hasn;t gone off yet. I didn;t think too much as I often get random pain at work but it usually goes by the next morning. It is right in the ball if my foot at the bottom of my big toe, sharp stabby pain if I put any weight on it and sort of achy pain the rest of the time. Hurts a little bit more when I raise my foot. No trauma that I can remember. I had planter facitis before and it isn;t like that. So any ideas what it could be and what I can do about it?

Freeze and orange and then roll it under your foot, helps loads.

Sounds like a Morton's neuroma - swelling of the nerve between the metatarsals IIRC. Have a Google and see if symptoms fit.
