Chicken pox???

My DD who is three had a very high fever over the weekend. Yesterday her fevers became lower and she has little red spots on her chest and back. They are itchy. There aren't pustules or anything though. Nothing looks scabby either. Just little red itchy spots. Could it be the chicken pox?

yep - sounds like it could well be. Start off as little pinky reddish spots! Get the calamine lotion in!!

and if it is chickenpox you'll be amazed at how quickly the spots appear. They seem to appear before your eyes.

Could be - they start like insect bites and then pus up. Otherwise could be a viral rash.

All the web sites say that the pustules come quickly and she has just had the spots, which do look a bit like small insect bites, since yesterday morning. I had thought about a viral rash but its not really rash like just spots.

Sounds like chicken pox to me.

My 2 DD's have just had them and DD1 had 2 suspect spots on her back for 3 days before any others appeared. Not all of them blistered and they started to dry up 2 days later and Sparkler1 is right about them appearing before your eyes!

I still don't know. Our surgery doesn't see children on a wed.. They are closed tommorow for some repairs. They are still just little pink spots. She has been really fussy today. Has a mild temperature. I just don't know. She has the spots on her chest, under both arms and upper back. She has one spot each on her limbs.

It took about 2 days for the pimples to turn to full CP with our dds. Get some calamine, also bicarb of soda for his bath.
