Ok so this follows on from a thread I have on ongoing blood in my urine. So went back today to be told still there and that since 2006 I have had lowered kidney function also that all urine tests I have had sent off show no infection despite all cystitis symptoms.

Anyone shed any light on the kidney function aspect as I can't see doctor again until next Thursday and going away Saturday with allsorts going through my mind Confused

Dc1 has a condition which attacked the kidneys (very, very rare by the way), and when biopsied only had 50% function, expected to recover to 75% max. That was diagnosed 5 years ago. To date, it hasn't caused any problems.

I have just been diagnosed with a rare genetic kidney disease. At the moment my kidney function is stable at about 80%. If they had known u have had lowered kidney function i would be asking why on earth this hasnt been told to u before, why are u not under a renal specialist and what is goin on with your kidney function and what is causing it to be lowered and how low it is? Hope you get sorted x
