For the past couple of months I've had an odd sensation in my right breast. It's a sort of numb. Tingling feeling and there is an ache when touched and now for the past few days I've had a sore area between my breast and armpit.
I finally saw the dr today and she referred me to a breast clinic for an ultrasound, I'm 26. She said she didn't feel any lumps but wants it checked out. Appt takes two to three weeks to come through the post.
I'm terrified. I have a six year old dd.
I had a cancer scare a few years ago when my smear came back abnormal and I had to have cells lasered away.
I'm going through a lot of stress just now with looking for work and feeling the pressures of the usual job related anxiety you get when your unemployed. We are managing but I want my own money and my life back.

Now this added on to the strain and all people say to me is calm down.
All I want to do is climb into bed and weep. I have things I need to do but I can't face them. I'm scared and worried.

Hi Op, I'm sorry you are upset & worrying, you are bound to be nervous about this, I think any woman would be.
I know it's easier said than done but try not to panic.

You've done the right thing by seeing your Gp quickly & in my experience the breast clinics are excellent, they don't hang about ,send out appointments very quickly & will do their best to put you at ease whilst you are there.
All the staff are friendly & very helpful,it's by far the best treatment I've ever had on the NHS!

Do you have a close friend or family member you can chat with ?
I think it always helps to have support in real life.
Sending you a hug with some Brew&Flowers
