Hi I have a upper front single denture. No metal just the plastic one. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to take it out?
This sounds really stupid but it's taking over my life! I panic as soon as I think about trying to get the damn thing out. I've not been out all week because I'm so scared of trying to get it out. I've tried tonight and just can't do it I'm scared to sleep in it in case it comes out through the night and I choke on it. Dramatic I know but I have such a phobia of it and dentists. The only time I've managed to get it out is if I've coughed or sneezed and that was by an accident. Tried since and no joy. Hoping someone can help me as its not fun living like this. Thank you

Is it meant to come out ? Does it have hooks attaching it to the neighbouring teeth, at the back, high up by the gum ? If so you may be able to unhook it using your finger or thumb nail. But the sensible thing is to go back to the dentist and ask them to show you how to do it, and don't go home till you're confident.
