How log will this chest infection last? :(

It came on at the weekend - coughing, rattling chest, temperature, fever, delirious fever dreams, chills, coughing blood....
Went to the docs yesterday who found my temperature was up, listened to my chest and diagnosed a chest infection. She has prescribed 5 days of amoxicillin.
I cannot shake this horrendous cough! I've coughed up blood 4 times today and I'm at the point where I can't cough without peeing. Sorry, TMI.
I feel just awful. Thing is, I really have to be in work on Thursday for n important task. Is this likely do you think? I'm struggling to sleep due to the awful breathing and feel just dire.

Sorry for the rambly post, just feel lonely as family all live 200 miles away and I have literally nobody to visit me or anything.

I've had the same since last Monday, now in day 5 of antibiotics and started feeling better after 3 days. Still coughing like a loon though. Hope we both feel better soon!
