Hi, sorry to be slow with this thread.

Week 25 - Get Strong

The challenge: Do 20 to 30 minutes of strength training three days per week.

It suggests taking a class or using books or DVDs. You can do exercises such as weight training, circuit/interval training, body-weight exercises, resistance training, isometrics, or plyometrics.

Does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of looking on Youtube for some dumbbell workouts. I'd love to hear some recommendations.

Here's Week 24

Flowers thank you so much!!
I supposse getting back on the shred wagon, or davina dvd?
Either way, I plan to spend 30 min this evening doing just that! Then on Thursday and on Saturday. Will keep you posted.

Water drinking is going well. Reverted back to my insomnia, I took a couple of diazepams ( it knocks me for 6, and that's the lowest dose) and I was able to function yesterday and Saturday.
Hmmm, it can turn into a slippery slope though, I was so desperate for sleep. Today been awake since 3 am, got a 12 h shift in a minute!! Not good.

I'll look up the Shred, I've heard a lot about it.

I've been drinking loads of water but too much chocolate. MFP is practically stalking me to fill out my food diary. I stopped off at Ikea and bought another 2 bags of veggie balls. I'm utterly addicted to them.

Thanks so much.

I need to do this but I hate it!

I will endeavour to wave a couple of bean cans around Grin

I know you are half way through the year but may I join?
I've been trying to implement small changes myself, water, fruit, jogging etc but it's hard to keep up momentum.
I think for this one I would try a simple plank and build it up. That's a good core one.

Yes really need to do this and mean to. I've made a small start with sit-ups and bench in the morning. Not today though. Today's my day off - everything!

I have the excuse of a poorly child, that's why I didn't do any exercise yesterday. I will come back this evening and report if I mended my ways (the child is ok).
Stellar, you're very welcomed! If you look back, we've done various challenges, the one that truly stayed with me is drinking water :) I bought a bigger bottle for work and I try to finish one before lunch and one after lunch. The funny thing is your body craves water, after a while it stops being a chore and becomes a necessity :)

Hello, I'm back. After a few grim months I am ready to get my habits back on track Smile sorry for abandoning everyone.
Everything has gone to pot so this week is about picking myself up and dusting myself off. Will go back through all the myriad weeks I missed.
I have taken my supplements, drunk nearly 3l of water and low carbed today. That's a start.

I've been planking. It's not easy but it's only 30-45 seconds a day for now so I can manage that. I also went to yoga which was very good.
