Worried, panicky, MRI on spine showed a black area

I have been told by the consultant this is nothing to worry about but I keep thinking what if he's wrong?

Consultants don't say those kind of things unless they are sure. Believe the consultant and put it out of your mind...

I'm no expert and am probably wrong but I thought it was the white/light areas were more concern than dark shades. Maybe that's just on the telly though. If the consultant isn't worried then you're probably fine.
