New mole during pregnancy

Hi I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I've just discovered a mole on my side that definitely wasn't there before.

Already in medium brown in colour, raised from the skin and not smooth. About 7mm x 3mm

I had moles looked a a couple of years ago but nothing was serious just told to keep an eye on them.

Anyone else ever experienced these while pregnant? I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow, just for now I'd feel a bit better if someone else had strange skin things happen (dont even get me started on he dark pigment spots on my face!)

Trying so hard not to google Sad

Hi yes I had one too that came in pregancy. Saw GP and said not to worry it happens as everything in body is changing. Just to keep an eye on it afterwards that's all. Don't worry and see GP if concerned. Good luck with baby

Thanks for your replies. Hoping it is just a pregnancy thing (its such a delightful process!)

Good job as I can't actually get a gp appointment for 4 weeks. I'm hoping the baby will be here by then!

Moles do stretch in pregnancy if they're near your bump, but keep an eye on it. I think you have to look out for increasing size, an irregular shape (not circular), itching, bleeding or scabbing.

This definitely happened to me! Don't worry about it, as the other posters have said, just keep an eye out for changes in the mole itself

I got a new one on the top of my foot with ds1 and one on my stomach with ds2. HV said it can happen but obviously keep an eye out for changes etc as pp said.
