So I have a large lump on my lip with facial swelling. GP was baffled, suggested an abscess. Saw a dentist, who did an x ray and said it's basically an extra tooth growing at the front and probably in my nasal cavity (gross!). I'm to be referred to have it removed.
Question....would this cause facial swelling and pain? Will the tooth ERUPT through the gum? I'm 37, far too old to be teething ;) Also, a tumour can't be mistaken for an extra tooth can it??
I definitely wasn't expecting that diagnosis!
