Does Norethisterone reset your menstrual cycle?

If you take norethisterone, does it reset your period clock as it were, so the period after that one follows your normal cycle, or does it mean that the period after that it will revert back to what it used to be?
Does that make sense?

ie if your period is on 6th of the month, and you delay it to the 13th of the month, does the next one come on the 6th or the 13th?

( I have copied and pasted an old post!). This is worded far better than I could do myself. Grin )

It would be the 13th probably. But not 100% sure. Noreth delays bleeding but not ovulation. Have a google- it'll be online.

DD1 (14) took it last summer to delay her period as we were going on holiday. Her previous 8 wk cycle from then on was shortened to 5 wks.
I know this doesn't answer your exact question but it's an example of how it can affect one's cycle.
