question about periods

I'm really noticing that the week or so after my period I'm very washed out.

Can't work out what hormones could possibly be responsible?!

I'm still bf a little.

Coud be your iron levels? Only a doctor can tell you for sure, though.

I'm due a ferritin test (not sure if includes hb?). It's not that low though - I'd only had ferritin of 50, 18 months ago. I took iron as seemed to have restless leg symptoms so GP suggested trying. Got to 130 then stopped. But in 5 months it dropped to 80, which was in oct I think. Which is fine but I questioned the big drop. Periods are much heavier than before I was pregnant. Test is next week.

But I seem to be much better in the run up to my period - about 2 weeks can iron fluctuate that much?
