Arm pit lump

I recently found a marble sized lump in my arm pit. After looking about online, I don't know if I should be worried or not.

It's a little bit sore to press and very solid. This seemed to be something people were saying to take straight to the gp. However it is Saturday so no can do just yet :(

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I did wonder if it could have something to.do with preparing to breast feed again? I haven't shaved my armpits in weeks (I'm lazy and have the perfect pregnancy excuse :p) so I think that rules out infected hair follicle?

Does anyone have any experience of this? what did it turn our to be for you?

I don't have any experience of a lump there but I did get a lump on my neck in pregnancy which turned out to be lymph related so nothing serious.
Best to go to GP on Monday to get it checked so as to put your mind at rest.

How big was yours? Was it sore to press like a bruise?

I had a sebaceous cyst under my armpit last summer. It was sore when I pressed it and about the size of a marble. It develops when a hair follicle gets infected. The doctor gave me cream for it- completely harmless Smile

I don't remember it being sore. It started off like a pea size and then grew to about 3x that. It was more flat then round.
It went away by itself in time. Are you able to go to your GP tomorrow?

I used to get cysts (still do occasionally) in my pits. Very tender, firm and tend to go by them selves. Once as a teenager one needed lancing. Definitely See your GP to exclude other causes. She might want to test you for diabetes as it can make you prone to weird infections like this.

Is it really deep in with your lymph nodes or in the skin? I used to get them in my skin...one was so massive that I had to go on antibiotics and it left a scar. I started using pit rok natural deodorant instead of stuff with antiperspirant in and haven't haven't one since X

Just saw a doctor. No real answer, they said ignore it for a Week, if in one week it's bigger or more painful. Go back. Hopeful that's a good thing haha

I had exactly the same thing, at same stage of pregnancy with second DC! Except I had loads under both arms, which lead me to conclude it was something to do with my lymphatic system.

I've had the baby and am breast feeding and each and every one has gone of its own accord.

I would still follow your doctor's advice. I was just too lazy/scared to do so.

I had a lump in my arm pit in the late stages of pregnancy. I was referred to the breast clinic to get it checked out which was v scary with a three week old baby in tow. It turned out to be feeding related . I could actually get milk from my arm pit. V weird. It was a big relief to know it wasn't anything else.
