I'm 43. I had a really heavy lengthy period this month, so much so that it worried me enough to go to my GP. I've got to back next week for a pelvic exam and to have a smear which I have put off for a year (I know, I know, but all previous ones have been fine). Anyway for a few days before the really heavy period I had a lot of watery discharge, enough to soak through my knickers - I did think I had wet myself as it was pretty damp. Didn't think much more about it at this point.
Anyway, I had a period that lasted nearly 3 weeks and since it ended a week ago, I've still had, what is to me, a lot of discharge. It's clear, not smelly, no pain and there is no blood or anything. If my period hadn't been so long, now would be about the right time for me to be ovulating and I would expect to have a more than usual. I've googled and now scared myself stupid into thinking I have cancer. I know this is irrational given that I have no other symptoms but I can't stop worrying. I do get anxious about my health and need some calming input.
