DH has just taken dds (7 and 5) out to the indoor playarea for me to get some peace and do the final clean and tidy of the house before christmas.
Was just clearing up a cupboard when I suddenly had a pain in my stomach so headed for the loo. Whilst on look I came over all hot and clamy (sp?) and ended up being sick twice.
Feeling really shaky now and have a really sore throat (I'm not the quietest of people to be sick )
Perfect timing to be ill eh?

Just phoned mum - her advice - go and sit down and rest.
Yeh right!! Like there's fat chance of me doing that.
Who else is going to clear up?

Oh no, poor you, Sparkler!
I have had both my DS's go down with a stomach bug this week - DS2 on Wednesday & DS1 yesterday. I am feeling a bit yukky myself today, so have a nasty feeling it's coming my way!
The good news is that it only seems to be a 24 hour bug, so you should be feeling fit & well for the big day.
Why do these blimmin bugs have to land on us at Christmas time??!!
Take care & hope you are feeling better soon.xx

Thanks guys. Am glad to say that I haven't been sick again since but definitely not feeling right. Have that slightly hungry feeling you get when you know that the worst thing you could probably do is to eat something.
Have managed to clean downstairs - just about to drag myself upstairs now. Might sneak into bed while I'm up there.

Oh no. HOpefully it will just be today and you'll be right tomorrow.

I NEVER get through Xmas without illness so, true to form, I've got a really painful sore throat, throbbing head and sinuses and a runny nose. Yippee.

Still feeling a bit wobbly but just about to kill it or cure it with a nice big sausage sandwich - I'm starving!

Glad you are feeling a bit better now, Sparkler.
Has anyone else in your family been ill?
Both my DS's seem totally fine now & are back to jumping off the furniture & squabbling! Hopefully you will be feeling on top form by tomorrow.

My DP also has a bug, has been fine all day but then started feeling a bit ropey at tea time and then went to bed and has it out of both ends now! Sorry if tmi!!! I had it last week - just praying the kids don't catch it now though, am going round spraying everything with dettol spray!!!!

I was doing that yesterday, crazydazy! I am paranoid that I will be struck down with it on Christmas day! (It's me who used to be a teddy that was blue btw!)
