Are blood clots in periods normal?

I never used to get them but over the last year particularly I've noticed more and more. I use tampons (sorry, know I'm not a true mner) and get lots of leakage. Should I be concerned?

I get them but always have done. As you're experiencing a change from what is normal for you I imagine that could be a sign that you need to get this checked out.
