Hello
I am a previous user of MN and I am back for some advice please.
I had a cracked tooth taken out on boxing day. It had two abscesses next to it. The gum has now closed over but there is a swelling there that is bright red on top and is the same place as the initial abscess.
I wasn't given antibiotics after the tooth came out although I had one course before. I have been rinsing with corsodyl and salt water but I have started eating normally again. Obviously not using that side to chew.
I have had some cake and chocolate ( it was Christmas after all) and DH blames that for the further possible infection. Is that likely?
I have another dentist appointment this week but will try to get an emergency one.
I am so fretty about it. I just want it to go away!
