Started as a feeling of soreness and hoarseness in the larynx 2 weeks ago. Then came extreme fatigue and a relentless dry cough feeling like I was trying to get something out of my throat (could be mucous, dunno.) progressed to bad headache, severe pain in larynx area, breakthrough period bleeding (this has happened two months in a row now.) Swollen lymph nodes, diarrhea. Cannot sleep from throat pain and ibuprofen doesn't cover it. Lost 5kg in weight over two weeks. Drinking relentlessly.

Went to doc, he looked in my ear, nose and throat and didn't see much. Tonsils were mildly red but nothing anti-biotic worthy. Took my blood pressure and it has jumped from my usual 100/60 to 130/90. He has done full blood count, waiting for results.

Meanwhile just cannot function. Have drained two bottles of cough syrup, two jars of honey, finished packs of paracetamol, night nurse. Feel weak and exhausted, can't go out.

Any thoughts?

I'd go back to the GP at the very least. Try and see a different one this time for a second opinion.
You poor thing.

Thank you FabuLouse. It is totally grim. Will get blood results back and then potentially try a Kawasaki/autoimmune avenue
