Bleached Gusset - Sorry

Sorry for the G word in the title

My vagina is bleaching my knickers! Just wondering if anyone else has this problem?

I know it is likely to be something to do with the ph but I'm otherwise healthy down there.

Wearing panty liners all day every day seems to go against the point of cotton knickers. But all my coloured pants have this bleached appearance in the crotch. I'm too embarrassed to hang them on the line or over the radiators.

Is there anything I can do?

I can't believe I have typed half of these words let alone that I'm going to post them on the net . Please work name change.

This used to happen to me. I never really gave it much thought. No idea what caused it.

J get that sometimes, some knickers seem bleach proof but theres no logic to it as far as I can tell.

Hang your knickers on the line by the gusset if needs be

It's normal. It is because the vaginal pH is acidic.

It's not piss. Just different ph levels in vaginal discharge. Lots of Internet advice like add cup of vinegar to a bath couple times a week, or eat more probiotic yogurt. V common though.

Think I will just buy cheap pants and bin after a few wears then. Or just buy white.

I already hang by the gusset btw. But I have a very helpful interfering neighbour/friend who will bring my washing in or fold up anything dry on my radiators while I'm making her cuppa.

Strangely some knickers do this more than others. Sloggi for instance, they bleach straight away, whereas others never do it. Black tends to do it more than colours. But I've had it happen on nude pants too. I just bin some faster than others! I would say it happens on roughly a third of the knickers I wear, so it must vary with the dyes used. Also it never used to happen, it only started happening a few years ago, why on earth is that?

I have had this happen before. I'm completely healthy down there and it's only happened with a couple of pairs. I really wouldn't worry op.

Funnily enough when I got some of my pants out the tumble drier today I noticed I had this problem as well. I didn't know if it was a sign that I needed to rush out to the dr's! One pair of black pants has a small pink dot now. Glad to know it's not just me.

Surely it would be cheaper and more environmentally friendly to just wear pant liners rather than chuck away your pants all the time

Wow this used to happen to me too but I never even thought about what it could be. Perhaps I just presumed someone was bleaching the grot out of them when doing my washing?! Doesn't happen anymore, interestingly.

Why would you either wear panty liners or throw away when it is just a perfectly normal thing?! Your vaginal secretions are meant to be slightly acidic to kill and invading microbes.

pinkpoppony I doubt panty liners are cheaper or more environmentally friendly. When I say bin after a few wears I mean a good few rather than keeping them until the elastic is no longer stretchy as I do now.
I also recycle pants (sans gusset) as rags for dusting and general cleaning so it's not really shock horror!

This is definitely a thing. There was even an advert for black panty liners for a while that hinted that it might be to cover up this issue.

I'm remembering more... I think it usually happened when I was on my period, and I thought it was the blood doing it (smart girl, huh?). It must be that my pH changed when I was on, or using tampons, or something. I'm fascinated by this phenomenon! I'm going to freak my husband out later on by announcing that I can bleach things with my vag highlights, anyone..?
