Hello, I need help please.
I'm 32 no children not sexually active. For a year I have been having watery discharge that soaks my pants. They smell like a cross between fish and a horse's stable! Tests have come back negative for bacterial diagnosis, thrush and STDs. And there is apparently nothing to see up there according to gp who also didn't think smell particularly strong.
I am on the pill to help w acne. I have put on a lot of weight this year-18months by eating junk if that might be relevant. It does make me sweat more Inc groin but the discharge is defo coming from inside.
Haven't changed soap powder and I don't wash inside vagina or use soap.
Thanks for any suggestions!!

Try tea tree oil on a panty liner. Its anti bacterial/fungal/viral.

Also natural yoghurt is good for restoring ph balance

Unhealthy diet can do it

Very helpful comments there Hmm

Try changing your underwear more frequently throughout the day, make sure you're wearing cotton too. Avoid thongs cos sometimes they don't help. Why don't you come off your medication for a bit, see if that changes anything? Or ask gp to change medication.

Bacterial vaginosis. It's common and nothing to do with your diet.
I often have problems with my bowels and find actimel and the like remedy the condition, see your GP.

I would come off the pill personally and make sure you are eating right.

Chilli the OP says the GP ruled that out

OP I would report your thread and ask to get this moved to the Health Forum.

Don't ever use tea tree oil near your bits, it's powerful stuff....might be natural...so is cyanide.

Second opinion from another GP. I had it in my teens, I was a virgin and smelled rank.

Report
Lucy61 · 03/07/2015 21:03

Do you mean you never use soap down there?

What are you usingto wash with? Think this should be moved to health.

Ask for dermal to wash with. Scentless and soothing. Gynaecologist recommended and fine for sensitive skin. No I don't work for them, but have used it for years with no issues.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I have used those pessaries for BV and the smell + discharge goes away bitterness after a few days.
And thanks for the welcome - I posted here for traffic and also cos there was a post here the other day about washing ones Fanjo. Apparently soap down there is bad.
Maybe this is God's way of stopping me ever getting another boyfriend!
