symptoms post galbladder removal

I had my gallbladder removed about two months ago. It was my understanding that I was likely to suffer from loose stools or diarrhoea due to difficulty in processing fat BUT I seem to have the opposite. Really hard and compacted 'poo' making me quite constipated and not all regular. I have ended up straining so much I think I am giving myself a prolapse as I am having to push my 'bits' back up afterwards. Why am having different symptoms to what I expected????

I didn't have either that I can remember when I had my gall bladder our last year, could it be a change in your diet. I was really restricted with what I could eat before my surgery, if you were the same it could just be the change. Have you tried pineapple juice, it worked wonders for me with my last pregnancy
