Strained groin/adductor muscle

Not sure how I did this, but it's just not getting better, every so often I twist or do something that jars it and get a shooting pain down the inside of my leg. Is there anything that can be done for a muscle strain or do I just wait and give it more time...it's been a month so far. Would physio help? Thanks.
