Please reassure me about breast clinic!

Hello!
Yesterday my GP referred me to the breast clinic as I've had pain and tingling in 1 breast for the last month. I was hoping they'd just say something like "oh yeah it's 'x' take this and stop being so neurotic". Now I'm hoping that those of you with experience can tell me that the breast clinic just sorts out anything booby related because all I can see on the dreaded Google is about the 'c' word, which hadn't even crossed my mind tbh. No lumps, just swollen and very sore and I'm only 25 so hoping it's not just going to be an exercise in ruling things out rather than a (benign) diagnosis and treatment. Have had 2 colposcopies since 23 and nice as it was, after initial scare from biopsy, to have the all clear I'm still no closer to a diagnosis for the constant pelvic pain.
Also, have tried hot baths, water bottles and am taking naproxen and paracetamol constantly and still sooo sore, any advise on comfort?
May just give up and admit I'm falling apart already! Sorry for the essay :(
Must learn never to read Google if you don't want to worry!

Hello, I work in a breast clinic and screening unit in London.

First of all deep breath. Your GP has done the right thing as all breast changes should be investigated.
Breast clinics are for all sorts of things from suspected breast cancers, to cysts, to enlarged lymph nodes and of course " ruling things out "

No lumps but swollen and sore sounds typical of an infection or mastitis type problem but really and truly we can't diagnose you over the internet and neither can you so stay away from Google.

It will be fine. If your GP has fast tracked you through the " 2 week rule " referral system you should receive your appointment fairly quickly.
Good luck.
