Have you been more active recently? Sometimes if you push yourself too much before you're ready, you can cause a bit more bleeding. Do you have any other symptoms? If not, I'd take it really easy today and see how the bleeding goes. If it continues to be heavy, I'd make an appointment to see the gp just to check it out. I'm sure it's fine though as I had the same thing and panicked, but the gp said to rest, and I was fine.

Many moons ago now but I had similar. GP sent me for an ultrasound to check nothing had been left behind. It was all ok and the bleeding stopped. Best to get it checked.

Could be your period coming back early?

But it is more likely to be just the natural ebb and flow of postpartum bleeding.

Don't worry too much, it should settle down in good time. I bled for a prolonged period after the birth of my 3rd child, no sinister cause was ever found and it did eventually stop on its own.

Exclusively BF doesn't necessarily mean no periods!

I have no stomach cramps what so ever (and have always had cramps when starting AF, they actually got worse after my first child). I did bleed for quite a while after my first birth, just not with this stop starting. My periods never came back til I stopped bf'ing at 9 months last time.

I found my periods changed drastically following DSs arrival. I went from light and pain free to heavy and very painfull. Maybe you have the opposite?

Also agree with periods whilst ebf, I got mine back sooner than I thought.
Is there any funky smell? Anything that smells is a sign of infection.

Still bleeding fairly heavily, still no stomach cramps or clots. It's definitely not a period, it's still lochia consistency. Seeing GP on Thursday so will mention it then.

Mine did the same with most of my children.
I thought it was finished only for it to come back again.
It can last 10-12 weeks, try and not do to much and rest when you can.
