Picolax experiences anyone? I have to take it today!

Not the normal topic but scheduled to have some tests tomorrow! why on a weekend!!!
I have suspected polyps, hope not but having the tests anyhow to be sure!

I have been given these two sachets of Picolax I have to start taking this morning, one this morning and one 6 hours later.. It is supposed to clear me out for the tests but I'm usually pretty resistant to anything that does that so a bit doubtful that it will work with me!

I plan to carrry on at work for a few hours, I'm there now but keen to get timing of the first sachet right as I probably need to take it before I come go home... figure it will take an hour or two to work anyhow!

Any experiences?

I can assure you that it works - and pretty soon! I would suggest not being at work after it has passed your lips! You need to be within close range of a loo to which you can guarantee access….. Good luck with Picolax and test results.

You need to be near a loo & near a loo where you can spend a long time (so not a shared use one at work). I seem to remember I just moved into the bathroom for a few hours so took my book & iPad in there, a jug of water & just stayed in there.

Do not take it at work I found it took effect with surprising suddenness.

I found it took a while to work- maybe 2 hours? But once it did there was no stopping it- you'd not believe you had so much inside of you!

you need to be close to the loo.
you need something to read (I sat there for 2 hours without break), something to drink and cream for your bottom.

Picolax is notorious. You do NOT want to take it at work.

you will not be able to leave once it has started to work.

All the above! Strongly advise you to find a private bathroom where you can be alone for as long as it takes. Sudocrem may be required, and some old flannels to bathe your bum, that you can just throw away afterwards. It is horrible but only temporary and actually you'll probably feel pretty good anyway. Hope the tests go well x
