I have had SPD, Have had since I was pregnant with my nearly 4 year old DS. I (finally) found a specialist chiropractor who has diagnosed me as having hypermobility syndrome, This was confirmed with G.P today as being 6 out of 10 on the beighton scale.

Do you/have you heard of anyone in a similar position? Have any of you had SPD for over four years and made a recovery?

Anyone with hypermobility syndrome have any tips for me? I'm feeling very sorry for myself this evening, Constant pain, never comfortable and just generally grumpy.

I had SPD and the physio assessed it as being associated with hypermobility. Mine started to improve when DS was two and I was then able to do a lot more exercise and build core strength. That helped a lot, though I still have flair ups.

Thanks Soloman, I have a monthly appointment scheduled for the chiro with excercises to do every day. She has also recommended a pilates instructor. Though where I'm finding the money for all this I don't actually know.
