Is this a bug? Or something else?

A week last Sunday I started being ill. Really a hey back and arms, exhausted, no energy. Managed to go to work but went to bed when I got in at 5 and slept through until morning. No appetite.
That lasted a week.

That passed and I felt fine for one day Hmm

Then Saturday after a small tea, I vomited it back up. Since then I've felt so nauseous. No actual vomit but felt as ill as I did when pregnant. POAS, negative.

Waves of nausea, haven't eaten since, except for the odd slice of toast which make me feel sick anyway. Dizzy spells, occasional diarrhoea. So tired.

It wouldn't normally bother me but it's gone on for a week now and I have zero energy. DP keeps telling me to go to the GP but I feel a bit pathetic as I just feel sick.

What do you think?

I think your DP is right. A week is a long time to feel that crap - and if the GP tells you it's just a virus and you'll get better on your own, well at least you'll know.

It is winter vomiting bug. It is everywhere right now. Kids get over it quicker than adults.

Without the vomiting though?

I almost I could get sick then at least I'd feel temporarily better.

I think I have it but none of it comes out as vomit as I take meds for gastric problems. Do you?

No, nothing like that.

I just feel so sick, I have cried several times!

I think you should see the GP.

It doesn't sound like Classic Norovirus (winter vomiting bug to me). DS2 had that, he puked violently for almost 48 hours, he had terrible diarrhoea. He couldn't eat anything, and small amounts of fluid was coming back up. He was ill, as in wiped out and achy for a week.

It could be a virus similar to Noro, but honestly you have been ill for almost a fortnight, you should seek some medical help.
