Could this be gall bladder?

So since having my lg every now and again I get really bad pains just under my ribs above my belly button it feels as if someone is twisting my insides and hurts for a min or 2 then stops then comes back again? I have blood tests done as my brother had his pancreas and spleen removed last year for the same sort of pain? My blood tests checked everything they came back fine all so had stool sample done to check for h pyroli bacteria all clear. So doctors diagnosed reflux then changed there minds to ibs as the pain sometimes goes after a number 2. But I'm not sure it is ibs? As my stools ect never change I have also got piles recently diagnosed after scaring my self that I had something serious after passing blood on the loo only to be told it was piles! (My god do they hurt) So I'm starting to think gall bladder? My symptoms seem the same but Google is terrible for the health anxiety drama queen in me! Xx

I had my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago. When I had attacks, the pain was right under my ribs on the right hand side, and below my right shoulder blade. Does yours feel like that?

They often happened in the middle of the night, and could be so painful I couldn't move. I also often felt sick and sometimes did vomit when it was really bad.

I'm dreadful for consulting Dr Google - I try not to! Go to the gp: there is a test they do where they press on an area just under your right ribs. If its sore, and there are other clear symptoms, it is a likely sign of gallbladder symptoms.

PS: don't do what I did: assume the pain was muscular and cover myself in ibuprofen gel! Doesn't do a thing and it cost me a fortune for months ... Wink

Mine came on when my D's was about 4 months old. It was properly diagnosed when he was nearly two once I had put the ibru gel away.

If the symptoms continue, get yourself to the doc. In the meantime, cut down on fatty foods and see if it makes a difference. Pastries, in particular, were a real problem with me. One of my worst attacks was after eating cheese straws! Never again ... Smile

Good luck.
