Best time to go to A&E this weekend

Dd has hurts her ankle, and we've been to the Minor Injuries unit who have strapped it up and told us to go to A&E sometime this weekend. They suggested we don't go tonight!

When is the quietest time to go, bearing in mind she's likely to need an X-ray?

Thanks

Sunday morning around 9am - before the football injuries come in. We were there at that time a couple of weeks ago, it was deserted!

Morning time like 9-10 I'd say.

In the morning, it will give them chance to clear out the party goers Wink X ray staff are on-call at the larger hospitals so it wouldn't matter what time you went to be honest, I'd recommend in the morning though.

Surely if you need to use a and e you need to go now?!

Oh gosh - do you know better than the Minor Injuries Unit Mrs Bungle?

Agree - nice and early in the morning, 9 am sharp

A and e isn't just for emergencies - it is also for accidents. And yes often Minor Injuries will recommend a and e but doesn't always require immediate attention.

I tried A&E in the morning. Unfortunately everyone seems to do it so it was packed.

Not too early though. We've been in at around 8 and waited for a while during the whole process as the night shifts coming off and handing over to the day which takes a while iirc. Mind you, I'd not slept all night so it felt like a lifetime!

Avoid the shift change at around 8am but then straight in there!
