Blood in poo

DD, DS and myself have all had sore tummies for a couple of days. I've had quite bad tummy pain while they seem to have had some pain and diarrhea. Tonight, after helping to wipe DS after an "explosion" there was some mucus with streaks of blood in it. It was fresh blood so I think he should see a doctor in the morning, but I just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience, or a similar bug recently?

If it was mucousy it's probably just irritated bowel as belgianbun said. Mucous is usually a sign of the tummy struggling. My DD had this before her milk allergy was diagnosed and it was just because her stomach was so upset.
